Eric Roberts takes on them werewolf thangs in the Dark Moon Rising trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Several years ago, there was a werewolf movie starring Sid Haig and Lin Shaye that was shot under the title DARK MOON RISING but eventually made it to home video as WOLF MOON. Well, they tossed aside a cool title with that one, and it has been snatched up by a new werewolf movie that Uncork'd Entertainment is set to release on DVD and VOD on August 4th.

Written and directed by Justin Price, this DARK MOON RISING stars Eric Roberts, Mika Padilla, Billy Blanks, and Jared Allman, and centers on

a group of shape-shifting werewolves that descend upon a small town in search of a girl who is re-born once every 2000 years. She holds the key to their survival and all will die who stand in their way.

It's said to be a "hair-raising chronicle" that's like AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON taking a bite out of NEAR DARK. There also seems like there might be a dash of THE LOST BOYS in the mix, and a sprinkling of CGI that isn't quite as good as I'd like, but I can let that slide if the film around it is entertaining enough.
