New Grudge trailer will make you think twice about entering the bathroom

Fifteen years ago American audiences were horrified to discover the terror of director Takashi Shimizu's THE GRUDGE. The film starred Sarah Michelle Gellar and centered around a curse created when a person died due to extreme rage or sorrow. Those who came into contact with the entity created by the curse also died, thus creating an endless chain of victims.

Well since Hollywood is bound and determined to reboot, remake, or reimagine old successful properties, audiences will soon fall victim to a new iteration of THE GRUDGE, this time from director Nicolas Pesce. And now we have a suitable terrifying trailer for the upcoming horror flick courtesy of Sony.

The film star Andrea Riseborough (MANDY) as "A single mother and young detective, Muldoon (Andrea Riseborough), discovers that a suburban house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death. Now, she runs to save herself and her son from demonic spirits from the cursed house in her neighborhood." The movie also stars John Cho (STAR TREK), Betty Gilpin (ISN'T IT ROMANTIC), and Demian Bichir (THE HATEFUL EIGHT).

While I never had a chance to catch the original film or its two sequels, this newest iteration looks decidedly creepy. I couldn't help but be freaked out when John Cho's character enters the house to eerie twitters. Why the Hell would he go near a bathtub with black goo though? You gotta know no good can come from that bro. Oh well.

What do you guys think of this trailer? Does it peak your interest? Were you a fan of the original? Sound off in the comments below!
