Lest you forget, Sony has it’s very own Marvel Universe (known as Sony’s Spider-Man Universe) and they have a full slate of projects on the horizon. The studio announced that they have has put their flag on dates for two untitled Sony/Marvel movies — November 8, 2024 and June 27, 2025.

Now, what could these mysterious new Sony Marvel movies be? There’s plenty of speculation out there, but a good bet for the November 8, 2024 date would be Venom 3. Variety recently claimed that the Venom sequel was aiming to hit theaters sometime in October 2024, so the November date would still fit in that window. As for the June 27, 2025 date, that places it smack in the middle of the summer blockbuster season. Some have guessed that it could be the next Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland. The actor recently told THR that he has had meetings with Marvel and Sony executives (including Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal) about the next movie.

It’s a collaborative process,” Tom Holland said. “The first few meetings were about, ‘Why would we do this again?’ And I think we found the reason why. I’m really, really happy with where we’re at in terms of the creative.” The actor did express a degree of apprehension about returning to the role when he could just go out on a high note after Spider-Man: No Way Home. “There’s a bit of a stigma about the fourth one in all franchises,” he said. “I feel like we hit a home run with our first franchise and there’s a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid that gets to bring this character to life.

The next Sony Marvel movie will be Kraven the Hunter, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, and Russell Crowe. Footage from the R-rated film was screened at CinemaCon earlier this year, with the movie set for an October 6, 2023 release. There’s also the Madame Web movie starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeny hitting theaters on February 16, 2024. Another Spider-Man Universe project is the El Muerto movie starring singer Bad Bunny. The film was initially set to be released in just seven months, but as production hasn’t even begun, the film could be a candidate for one of these new dates.

Any guesses on what these new Marvel/Sony movies could be?
