Those of us who grew up in the 90s remember the complete overtaking of pop culture that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles experienced. Suddenly, every kid was saying Cowabunga and only wanted to eat pizza. Through the onslaught of Turtlesmania, a ton of merchandise was made. Toys, clothes, games, and, of course, movies.
The original live-action film came out in 1990 and was followed by two sequels quickly.
