The Christmas season will be here before you know it, and Disney+ is ready to get you into the spirit with The Santa Clauses trailer! Scott Calvin is back! After being Santa Claus for nearly thirty years, he’s as jolly as ever. But as Christmas declines in popularity, so does his Santa magic. Scott struggles to keep up with the demands of the job and being there for his family. Upon discovering there is a way to retire from his post, Scott considers stepping down as Santa Claus and finding a worthy successor so that he can become a better father and husband.
Hey, Disney! Ernest Saves Christmas called, and they want their plot back! I kid, I kid! The rub here is Scott Calvin’s replacement isn’t worthy of the mantle. Now it’s up to Calvin, his family, and loyalists in the North Pole to get Christmas back on track. It’ll take a Christmas miracle to transform the holiday into the celebration we all know. Thankfully, some potent players are willing to risk it for the biscuit.
The series stars Tim Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus, Elizabeth Mitchell as Carol/Mrs. Claus, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra, Devin Bright as Noel, Austin Kane as Cal, Matilda Lawler as Betty, Rupali Redd as Grace, and Kal Penn as Simon Choksi. Laura San Giacomo is also coming to cast a spell over the upcoming Disney+ holiday series. She plays La Befana, a Christmas Witch from Italian folklore who delivered treats to good children on the morning of the epiphany. She lives in the Wobbly Woods of the North Pole. David Krumholtz also returns to the franchise as Bernard the Elf.
