Trailer roars in for Blumhouse’s Boogeyman Pop

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A month or so ago now, I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking music with Wolfman of Mars and the band's contribution to the upcoming Blumhouse flick BOOGEYMAN POP. I'm really looking forward to checking out the finished film now, and today we have the teaser trailer!

Looks pretty badass to me. And what I think is especially cool is that the film looks to be (semi) low budget, so this seems to say to me that it is such a solid lower-budget fright flick that the powers that be over at Blumhouse got wind and decided to pick it up. Which, to me, is a super-good sign.

The film held its World Premiere at this year's Cinepocalypse and is

Set over the course of one summer weekend, a bat-wielding, masked killer in a rusted-out black Cadillac weaves in and out of three interlocking stories awash in sex, drugs, punk rock, black magic, and broken homes.

It's written and directed by Brad Michael Elmore and stars the son of the late, great Bill Paxton, James Paxton and is produced by ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY screenwriter Chris Weitz, who discovered writer/director Brad Michael Elmore’s micro-budget debut THE WOLFMAN'S HAMMER on Youtube. The film was eventually brought to the prolific Blumhouse team who hopped on board enthusiastically.

You can check out the fun and pop music filled teaser trailer below and then let us know what you think! I'm thinking this movie just might be one of the top flicks to keep tabs on throughout the rest of the year. An official release date is pending.
