Watchmen mag pics
Brazilian magazine "Set" recently unleashed four cool ass WATCHMEN themed covers featuring Silk Spectre II (Malin Akerman), Dr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup), Rorschach (Jackie Earle Haley) and The Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). These four are, of course, part of the world of superheroes who populate the WATCHMEN universe and when one of them (Comedian) is murdered, Rorschach begins an investigation that deconstructs the entire superhero mythology. It all goes down March 6th of next year.

Extra Tidbit: Throughout the course of the film's long and torturous development, the cast could have included Ron Perlman as The Comedian, Simon Pegg as Rorschach and Tom Cruise as Ozymandias.

Cruise as Ozymandias would have been perfect. Pretty much the only casting I've seen that I didn't like was that part. You needed someone a little older for it. Someone in their forties.
Bye the way, there's no question that this is going to LOOK great, but the story is pretty complex for a single film, especially if it's under two hours. Is anyone else worried Snyder is in over his head as a storyteller? 300 was okay, but pretty A to B if you know what I mean.

The other two are legit though. Cruise and Snyder actually had several meetings about him playing Ozymandias, and two of the films producers, Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin, met with Perlman about playing The Comedian (but the shooting schedule conflicted with Hellboy II). I think they both would've been great for the parts although I think Jude Law (who was in talks with both Greengrass and Snyder) would've made an even better Ozymandias.
