Relive the original Halloween with new trailer for the 4K UHD release

1978’s HALLOWEEN from John Carpenter remains of the most essential horror movies of all time, becoming iconic thanks to its creepy score and main villain – Michael Myers. This year sees the release of new sequel/reboot from David Gordon Green, with Jamie Lee Curtis returning to fight off the deranged killer who attacked her 40 years ago. With this means new editions of the classic movie hitting shelves and above you can check out the trailer for the 4K restoration of the slasher flick, which is on stands September 25.

Here are the tech specs and special features that will come on the release:

  • DOLBY VISION HDR PRESENTATION OF THE FILM
  • Audio Commentary with Writer/Director John Carpenter and Actor Jamie Lee Curtis
  • "The Night She Came Home" Featurette
  • "On Location: 25 Years Later" Featurette
  • TV Version Footage
  • Trailer
  • TV Spots
  • Radio Spots

There might not be anything new here in terms of special goodies, but for any die-hard fans of the movie, this is must-have for your collection. How it will look visually will be determined when it comes out, but I know one thing for certain: that score is going to sound even more haunting with that upgraded sound.

The original HALLOWEEN arrives on 4K Blu-ray September 25, and the new HALLOWEEN hits theaters October 19.
