The Walking Dead character Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, is getting his own spin-off show (which might even be called The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon), and while the original plan had been for Daryl to be joined on this show by his friend Carol Peletier, actress Melissa McBride couldn’t move to Europe to work on the show. Which would be required, since it’s set in Paris. So now Daryl needs some new co-stars… and Deadline has announced that two lead roles have now been cast. Taking on these roles are Clémence Poésy (Tenet) and Adam Nagaitis (The Terror).

Poésy will be playing Isabelle, “a member of a progressive religious group, who joins forces with Daryl (Reedus) on a journey across France and finds herself confronting her dark past in Paris.”

The character Nagaitis will be playing is Quinn, “a displaced Brit who has become powerful in post-apocalyptic Paris as a black marketeer and the owner of the Demimonde, a sexy underground nightclub.”

Scott M. Gimple, the Chief Content Officer of AMC’s Walking Dead Universe, recently told ComicBook.com that “Daryl is a fish out of water to start with. If Daryl finds himself with new people, he’s a fish out of water. In France, in a country that’s going through the apocalypse, [it’s] an entirely different thing. He finds himself having to reinvent himself again, having to find himself again, and also, not being with — probably — the only people in the world he’s comfortable with.

While The Walking Dead is coming to an end later this month (November 20th, to be exact), the spin-offs Fear the Walking Dead and Tales of the Walking Dead are still going. Also in the works are Dead City, which will star Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Maggie and Negan, and a series that will reunite the characters of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira).
