Trailer for found-footage thriller The Expedition, starring Ben Loyd-Holmes

Who needs JURASSIC WORLD when we've got THE EXPEDITION, a new horror flick that brings together found-footage and dinosaurs!? The Adam Spinks-directed thriller sees a research team take a trip into the Amazon where they have a run-in with, you guessed it, a giant man-eating dino. What's great about this trailer is that even though it's chock-full of your typical shaky-cam shenanigans, it actually shows off the dinosaur quite a bit instead of just giving us loud noises and people screaming. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of loud noises and people screaming but at least there's a dinosaur stomping around while it's happening. That's gotta count for something, right?

THE EXPEDITION revolves around a…

…research team led by a renowned and respected Professor who embark on an Expedition deep within the Amazon to study vulnerable and endangered species. However after a series of strange events, the superstitious guides abandon the team, who, faced with a tough decision, decide to remain deep in the jungle in an attempt to complete their study… but as night falls they begin to realize that all really is not as it seems and that they are in the hunting ground of an apex predator… Something they never could have imagined.

Starring Ben Loyd-Holmes (Skyfall, "Da Vinci’s Demons," "Torchwood"), Neil Newbon ("Holby City," "Hollyoaks"), Sarah MacDonnell ("Secret Diary of a Call Girl," Montana), Ernesto Cantu (World War Z), and Daniel Caren (The Girl Is Mime, The Hike) as well as Simon Burbage (Pulp: The Movie) and Dolores Reynals.
