The folks at Scotchworthy Productions first caught my attention ten years ago, at a horror convention in Pittsburgh where they were selling copies of their "choose your own adventure" movie IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL DIE IF I WANT TO. I bought a copy, and was glad I did, as that was a really cool flick. It turns out I've missed a couple Scotchworthy movies since then, but they've shown up on my radar again in a major way with the release of a trailer for their new film SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET.

Written by Tony Wash, B.A. Lewandowski, and Johnny Hlousek and directed by Wash, Lewandowski, and Robert Patrick Stern, SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET is a horror/comedy aimed at fans of '80s genre movies and horror host shows.

Skeletons in the Closet is a late-night, horror anthology television series featuring The Widow and her dead husband, Charlie. Each episode finds them providing hilarious commentary on a variety of B-movie horror films – some of which are terrifying! Their number one fan, a precocious 11-year-old named Jamie, never misses an episode. With her parents out for the evening, Jamie sits down in front of the tube to devour the delectable terror, but her favorite Friday night freak show is constantly interrupted by her annoying new babysitter, Tina. If they can survive each other, they may be able to survive the night!

Join us in the 80's horror experience you've been dying to see.

Ellie Church, Adam Michaels, Elizabeth Stenholt, Alaina Karner, Leigh Rose, and Tony Lee Gratz star.

Being a fan of '80s genre movies, horror host shows, Ellie Church, and IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL DIE IF I WANT TO, I'm totally on board to check out SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET. This looks like a lot of fun to me.

Scotchworthy made SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET in association with September Son Films, The Line Film Co., and Cow Lamp Films. The film was produced by Wash, Lewandowski, Stern, Sarah Sharp, Jonathan Plowman, and Josh da Silva.

Bloody-Disgusting got the first look at the trailer, which is embedded below. Cow Lamp Films and the Windy City Horrorama Film Festival will be presenting a screening of SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET at the Davis Theater in Chicago on September 7th. The film will also be showing at the Nightmares Film Festival in Columbus, Ohio this October.
