"I'm dreaming of a reich Christmas. Just like the ones I used to know."

By a show of hands, who remembers director Tommy Wirkola's zombie horror film DEAD SNOW? The film debuted in 2009, and told the tale of a group of vacationing students who are forced to battle defrosted, undead Nazis. The film was then given a sequel in 2014 which was cleverly titled DEAD SNOW: RED VS. DEAD. Now, in a time when the subject of Nazis is unfortunately a daily occurrence and concern, Wirkola is planning to feature a major historical player for the series next film, Zombie-Hitler!

When asked about what we can expect to see in the forthcoming film, Wirkola stated, “Just so you know, if you’re a fan of the Dead Snows, we’re hoping to make a third one in a few years," said the seasoned zombie horror director. "We’ve got to finish the trilogy, so I’m very excited about that. We’ve got to finish what we started, all of us! We have some ideas. I think it’s natural to maybe put some of the story in South America, where a lot of the Nazis fled, of course. We’ve got to top what we’ve done before, we have to bring back Hitler as well. Zombie-Hitler. That just feels natural,” Wirkola concluded.

You know, I would have put money on the idea that Zombie-Hitler would've already shown up in either of the first two installments of the franchise. For me, that character feels like something of a no-brainer given DEAD SNOW's context. I know that I've seen the first film, and remember being rather surprised by how decent it was. With any luck, Zombie-Hitler will help to kick things up a notch for Wirkola's third chapter of the zombie nazi saga.

No official release date for DEAD SNOW 3 has been announced at this time, though you can watch both DEAD SNOW and DEAD SNOW: RED VS. DEAD right now via streaming or Blu-Ray formats.
