New IMAX poster for It: Chapter Two wants to know if you’d like a balloon

Do you hear that? It sounds like carnival barkers luring rubes to their manipulative games. Can you smell the air? It reeks of stale popcorn, cotten candy, roasted peanuts, and piss-soaked jumpers. It must be the Carnival of Souls, and Pennywise the Dancing Clown is the main attraction. Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, and prepare yourselves for untold horrors, labyrinthine mirror mazes, and balloons that when held, will take you to a place where everyone floats … forever and ever.

This Thursday afternoon, IMAX has unleashed an exclusive poster for director Andy Muschiettit's IT: CHAPTER TWO. The stylish print features a gathering of blood red balloons, with Pennywise the Dancing Clown floating among the bunch.

The IMAX release of IT: CHAPTER TWO will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with proprietary IMAX DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology. The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX's customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.

Dolby Cinema also announced their own exclusive poster for IT: CHAPTER TWO earlier this afternoon, featuring a close up on Pennywise's evil eye, and the crimson streaks that serve as a part of his nightmarish visage.

The final chapter of Stephen King's classic horror masterpiece has Bill Skarsgård's Pennywise once again emerging from the darkness, with the members of the Losers Club gathering to fulfill their oaths by returning to Derry to put an end to the shape-shifting demon once and for all.

Starring as the adult members of The Losers Club are actors James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean. Meanwhile, Jaeden Lieberher, Wyatt Oleff, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer are all set to reprise their roles as the Losers Club kids during the sequel's flashback sequences.
