Severance trailer: Adam Scott stars in Apple TV psychological thriller series

Last month, the teaser trailer for the Apple TV+ psychological thriller series Severance was released, and now a full trailer has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above. Created by Dan Erickson and executive produced by Ben Stiller (who, along with Aoife McArdle, also directed the show), Severance tells the following story:

Mark Scout leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.

Adam Scott (Krampus) stars as Mark Scout and is joined in the cast by Patricia Arquette (True Romance), John Turturro (Barton Fink), Britt Lower (High Maintenance), Zach Cherry (You), Dichen Lachman (Altered Carbon), Jen Tullock (6 Balloons), Tramell Tillman (Godfather of Harlem), Michael Chernus (Orange Is the New Black), and Christopher Walken (Suicide Kings).

Stiller executive produced Severance with Nicky Weinstock and Jackie Cohn for Red Hour Productions. Erickson, Mark Friedman, Chris Black, John Cameron, and Andrew Colville are also executive producers on the show. Scott and Arquette receive producer credits as well.

Stiller previously directed Reality Bites, The Cable Guy, Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Zoolander 2, and Escape at Dannemora, among other things. McArdle wrote and directed the 2017 drama Kissing Candice, and beyond that has directed a whole lot of shorts, commercials, and music videos.

Judging by the trailer embedded above, Severance looks like it’s going to be a wild ride. It has a great cast, so chances are this is going to be worth checking out.

The show is scheduled to begin airing on Apple TV+ on February 18th. Will you be watching? What did you think of the trailer(s)? Let us know by leaving a comment below.
