Real Wolvie ending?

Strike Back below!
by: Dave Davis Jun. 26, 2009

I came across this while clicking around DeviantArt for my weekly fix of amateur photography, anime wank art and depictions of superheroines in compromising positions, and figured it was worth sharing. Especially for fans of Deadpool's comic book incarnation, who may not have been entirely satisfied with the character's treatment in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE.

Click below for the full strip, and you can thank artist 'ScarletVulture' for offering a fun alternative to the flick's end.

Extra Tidbit: Can Ryan Reynolds fulfill his promise to give us a movie featuring the "true" DEADPOOL, or will Fox get in the way (again)?

Hmm
Yeah, as a die hard Wolvie fan I must admit I was a little disappointed, but I was somewhat impressed with Ryan's portrayal of Wade Wilson. I'd be interested to see if he can pull off a whole movie on Deadpool

Wolvie was craptastic. Wolverine is just as overdone as the joker, if not moreso. The time money and effort put into making this movie could have been put to such better use. Then again, I suppose that could be said for a lot of movies these days.

And seriously drwcomics guy...do you even know Deadpool's origin? Why he's so crazy? All the crazy shit about him? Have you been read...

And seriously drwcomics guy...do you even know Deadpool's origin? Why he's so crazy? All the crazy shit about him? Have you been reading his latest comic series, these and many more questions can be posed to a guy who continuously posts remarkably long winded psuedo-intellectual self-depricating (make fun of myself so you can't make fun of me) dissertations all over this site. Really, after your first post, you shouldn't bother with a retort seeing as how you dismissed anything with your first post as you do almost every time.

Wow, I guess I was should have been more clear: Wolverine was a decent movie, despite it's flaws. That was the point I was making. The CGI was down right amateur in certain scenes, the movie completely failed to attempt to line itself up with the time line suggested by the first X-Men film, and the amnesia bullets, while plausible to a certain extent (due to his healing factor presumably acting a bit off when attempting to heal the brain, an organ not biologically designed to heal as other parts of the body are, thus resulting in his memory loss), were just anti-climactic. But horrible dialogue? I found the dialogue, while not oscar caliber writing by any means, was natural and realistic enough to work. Dumbed down characters? Victor and Logan were developed in the movie, they were wary nigh-immortals whose continuing existence was taking a mental tole on them both, and the supporting characters were developed to the extent that they served their purpose within the movie. This was Logan's show, not an "ensemble cast" film as the X-films were. Non existent plot? Really, the story of an immortal man who attempts to confront his violent past head on after his life is torn apart as a result of trying to run away from that past seemed pretty clear to me. And please, don't attempt to insult my taste in movies, throwing out a personal attack like that does nothing but suggest that you have very few legitimate things to say about the topic of my post. Although it certainly earns you a gold star for being a model citizen of Internet Fanboy Land. The bottom line is this: I was just trying to point out that while it's true that the movie never should have been released with those grossly unfinished effects, I find it ridiculous that so many people are dumping on this movie without anything to back themselves up other than calling the movie horrible because, well, it just is for some reason.

Wolverine decent? Oh please...
Sorry, Iīm a comicbook-fanboy as well but Wolverine was horrible from the dumbed down characters to the horrible dialogue, the shitty CGI to the nonexistent story. Yeah, some guy may like the movie, cause itīs so "cool" to see the characters on screen but it really has nothing to do with the overall quality of the flic. And please donīt blame "whiny bandwagon-haters" for making fun of your foul...

I probobly would have "geek-jizzed" in my pants had this been the real ending. But thank God it wasn't, the people in front of me at the movie theater would have been PISSED!

Wolverine was a pretty good movie (not great, but still pretty good). That's right. I said it. GOOD. Flawed? Oh yes, it had some big ones. But there was nothing inherently bad about that movie involving the story, the acting, or the plot. As for deadpool? I liked the XMO:W origin BETTER than his original origin. But there was nothing inherently bad about that movie involving the story, the acting, or the plot. As for deadpool? I liked the XMO:W origin BETTER than his original origin. Yeah, you can read that one more time: IT WAS BETTER. Deadpool's origin is hackneyed and throw-away, and it has nothing to do with what makes the character great, it's his PERSONALITY, which was not only in tact, but the actor playing him inherently "gets" the character. So was it different? Yes. It was but that doesn't mean bad. At least not in the real world. But then, this isn't the real world at all, it's internet fanboy land, where if a movie is different than the version of it that you've created in your minds then it automatically sucks, whether or not it actually does. That being said, it's a miracle that Wolverine escaped the "Fox Terrible Movie Machine" and actually managed to be a half-way decent movie. They shouldn't be let anywhere NEAR another Marvel property. Ever. Because the real crime that XMO:W committed was that while it was a good movie, it could have been an amazing movie in better hands. I'm just so tired of seeing this generally awesome movie website fall into the trap of becoming whiny fanboy bandwagon-haters. So if you've made it this far in my post, whoever you are, feel free to make fun of me somehow, and then disregard everything I just said with a single "witty" comment, or better yet, a long post stating how awful and horrible the movie is without bothering to state WHY those things were bad just that they were, for some reason.

*sigh*

Whatever.

I want to believe Ryan Reynolds, and I do, but experience has taught me that Fox always gets in the way. Hugh Jackman promised us that WOLVERINE was going to be kick ass and it sucked. I felt bad for Jackman because he's such an awesome dude he deserves better than that. Marvel needs to get the rights to all their properties back pronto!

NICE!
Even had this actual comic strip been the end of the movie, not moving pictures mind you. But just the individual frames of this comic strip, it would have made Wolverine 100% better...I'm just sayin'

All I have to say is....
LAME!!!!
Nice that he wasn'tt the screenwriter of the movie. This would have no way been the ending.

And actually, "Wolverine" wasn't that bad. IMOHO.

You forgot a major one!
MickeyMclaren, let's not forget about The X-Files: I Want To Believe. I'm a huge X-Files fan and they crapped all over my favorite franchise. I have no idea how the studio heads at FOX still have jobs. They are horribel. Their biggest movie last summer was What Happens In Vegas!!!!! Fox needs new leadership BAD!!!!
