TREE OF LIFE is another one of those films that everyone is waiting on.

Well, news comes about the film, but it isn't much.

At the Indie Spirit awards, Apparition’s Bob Berney talks about his excitement for the next film from director, Terrence Malick. If you remember back in October, Berney said he had no clue when TREE was coming out.

Now he's saying that the film will be released worldwide in early November. It's also very likely that it will show at Cannes this year. Pete Hammond from the LA Times reports Berney saying that TREE is like a dream and that Malick fans will be very happy. He also compares Brad Pitt's performance to Robert De Niro's in THIS BOYS LIFE, saying that people are going to see a side of Pitt they've never seen before. Another performance that made some waves was from Jessica Chastain, who plays Pitt's wife.

For those of you who may have already forgotten what TREE OF LIFE was about, here's our synopsis:

We trace the evolution of an eleven-year-old boy in the Midwest, Jack, one of three brothers. At first all seems marvelous to the child. He sees as his mother does, with the eyes of his soul. She represents the way of love and mercy, where the father tries to teach his son the world's way, of putting oneself first. Each parent contends for his allegiance, and Jack must reconcile their claims. The picture darkens as he has his first glimpses of sickness, suffering and death. The world, once a thing of glory, becomes a labyrinth. Framing this story is that of adult Jack (Sean Penn), a lost soul in a modern world, seeking to discover amid the changing scenes of time that which does not change: the eternal scheme of which we are a part. When he sees all that has gone into our world's preparation, each thing appears a miracle precious, incomparable. Jack, with his new understanding, is able to forgive his father and take his first steps on the path of life.

I've also included a lovely photo of Jessica Chastain.

Extra Tidbit: It will be nice to see the beautiful Joanna Going again starring as Penn's wife in the film.

I have been for this my whole life (at least 7 months)! While I'm still a little lost in the premise, it is, undoubtedly, my number one anticipated movie of 2010.

I was already excited about this film, but the synopsis make it sound like it could be something great.
