Based on Jordan Harrison's Pulitzer Prize-nominated play of the same name, MARJORIE PRIME tells the story of an elderly woman (Lois Smith) who avails herself of a service which provides holographic recreations of deceased loved ones as their survivors would like them remembered. With her health and memory failing, Marjorie begins to piece together her past with a computerized version of her deceased husband, Walter (Jon Hamm). Together with her children, played by Tim Robbins and Geena Davis, they go through their painful family history in order to give Walter an understanding of the man he once was.

Eighty-six-year-old Marjorie spends her final, ailing days with a computerized version of her deceased husband.
