Even more sexiness from San Diego! It's your first look at the two teaser posters for MAX PAYNE! Mark Wahlberg and crew will be on hand tomorrow morning to debut some footage from the film and chat with the Hall H-ers but today we've got a look at two posters for the film. I really dug the trailers and I like these posters, it's just that whole video game thing I'm having a hard time with. It's just been such a hard time getting one of those properly adapted. Anyway, stay tuned tomorrow for more from MAX PAYNE at Comic-Con!

The first one is cool but it doesn´t look like Whalberg eventhough we know it is.

I can't lie...this looks fantastic! I saw the trailer and I was blown away. This might work! The deamons are a nice touch.

DW or Marky Mark are both okay, just as long as its not Dean Caine.

I'd like to see them take the character in a different direction, and use Fisher Stevens donning his Indian makeup from Short Circuit 2.

Agree with Shelb, Dean Winters would have been fabby doo but he's isn't big enough ( as in most people have no idea who he is ). Wahlberg isn't my first choice but I think he's more than capable

p.s - Was that a pic of Adebisi gettin' shanked, Shelb??

Reminds me of the Hitman movie: some of the posters also had the cool game-artwork, but you could still tell it would suck. But that movie had a lousy trailer, unlike this one.

I have actually...
...only played the 2nd. Though I really like the darkness of the setting and plot in it. Lets all hope the movie creates the same vibe and sticks to the SAME story as the games.

I looked up Winters, and he looks similar to Marky Mark, but to me, Marky Mark is a thicker face/body which is how I remember Max Payne looking. Winters just looks too small or skinny or something, I dunno. Besides, I know the guy, he's a good actor, but like you said, no one knows him and having Marky Mark on your poster will give you more cred.

The agnels/demons you see are from Payne's nightmares. They may also be something he sees while on the drug from the videogames. I highly doubt they are actually real and he is fighting the supernatural. I really really do...hopefully....

No one else on the Dean Winters bandwagon? For those out of the loop, he played Ryan O'Riley on Oz. He was the best choice for this role but obviously wasn't a big enough star for the producers. He was/is perfect! C'mon!

i have played the games, i have no idea what is up with the angels of death, the first poster is not very Max Payne-ish, but still looks kinda cool, the second poster looks very much like promotional material from the games, so it looks cool too. heres hoping the movie doesnt suck

Witnessed the game being played before. The story seems to be movie material, but my instinct tells me what makes video game adaptations so bad is that folks would rather play the game than watch the movie. But story seems to be good enough it might compensate. Second poster is swell. Here's to breaking the trend.

So I'm a huge fan of the games, and while that flying thing makes me unsure about the movie, I really want to own that second poster. Gets the feeling of the game almost perfectly...

Never played the game myself but it's popular among my gaming expert friends. The posters are on the awesome side; I'll go see it.

Both games were amazing, so I hope they do this justice.
As for the angel, while I don't remember anything about it from the games...a big part of the plot in them dealt with Max Payne struggling to deal with his family being murdered and the guilt he felt because of it(at least the first did). Some levels in the game take place as nightmares, so I can only assume that these angels are ...

Otherwise I have no clue. But like others here, I am cautiously optimistic.

Crazy Angels Rock
The angels thing is different but looks creepy and cool something that fits perfectly with the Max Payne games. I am excited for this film and hope that the look of the trailer is what the film looks like.

Still Cautious
I am allowing for some creative play here, but I am super cautious of the integration of this who "spiritual" thing they seem to have added. I am a huge fan of the game, so this addition is freaking me out a bit. Like I said though, I am being cautiously optomistic.

as with everyone else, I'm really liking what I've seen so far, and yes, I've played (and finished, and loved) both MP games. And yes, I have no idea what's up with the big angel things. And yes, I'm slightly worried.

Never played the game so I don't really care about the source material. I'm diggin the posters and the trailer was pretty sweet. I'll definitely be checkin this out in the theater. Hopefully it will at least be as good as Hitman.

Looks good, BUT...
I'm not digging Marky Mark as Max Payne. Nothing against him, but Dean Winters really was the only choice for this role.

Great posters by the way, but i dont remember there being evil angelic figures in the games. or are they just tryin do be deep and shit and take the story to a new level? still think uwe boll shouldve been doing this one. by this one i mean try ambushing max payne when hes got full health, stocked with painkillers, dual desert eagles, and plenty of bullet time. heh heh anyone?

Totally captures the spirit of the film without being cheesy looking. I'll see this flick for SURE. and for the record, even if it sucks, this is the FIRST time I've ever been pleased with and prepared to see a video game movie in theatres as soon as it hits. Hell, I guess you could call me excited!

So even if it sucks, this is a step forward for game movies.
